Stanley Monageng
Stanley is one of the most dynamic and inspiring HIV activists in Botswana. As the first male nurse in Botswana, Stanley had to stop working because his patients often refused his services due to his HIV status. Afterwards, Stanley started an NGO “Thusang Bana Centre”, that aims to support at risk populations in HIV prevention and support. Stanley has worked closely with the President’s Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in designing and implementing interventions, and serves as a Treat All Champion where he promotes regular testing and adherence to treatment throughout Botswana.
